Best albums of 2011: competition!

Numbers ten to two have been unveiled, almost time to reveal what my favourite album of 2011 is, but first it is time for everyone to take a guess what it might be. Anyone that gets it right will be rewarded with a copy of said album, or if (as is highly likely) you happen to already own a copy, any other album of your choice on the list.

And I know you are all waiting to hear what number one is before weighing in with your own personal top tens, but I still want to know what is on everyone else's lists.

Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will is my guess.

Too easy - thought you might get it. I also know that you already have a copy, but what else on the list do you fancy?

M83 is the one that I've been thinking about getting. Meanwhile delighted to receive the 2011 CD but no track listing... intrigued. Will send you the last 2 years that I owe you once I can finialise this year (which is proving promblematic)

OK first 2011 impressions are possibly a 3 album cross-over but only one song - though as the final cut is yet to be made (still at 22 tracks) who knows. On the plus side for you there's a couple of new Scottish folk from mine for you to hear but I'm still stuck on a bit of house from my Ibiza trip that you'll be less excited about than I was...

M83 it is, then. I will put the track listing on the blog in the next day or two.

Three album cross-over would be Mogwai, British Sea Power and Wild Beasts (possibly Glasvegas for the third one). Looking forward to hearing yours ...
